Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival – October 4-5 2025

The GMRHG will again be participating in the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival in Tunbridge, VT. This outdoor, two-day event at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds is fun and educational. Thousands of visitors come to this festival for handspun yarns, fleece, wool, roving and kits. The Festival is a family oriented and features llamas, sheep, goats, rabbits, and herding dogs. Plenty of food vendors and maple cremees available.

Our booth highlights local members’ hooked pieces, provides demonstrations, and encourages the public to give hooking a try.

Fern Strong will offer an Introduction to Hooking class as one of the many events provided at the Festival. There will also be contests run by the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival for various fiber arts.

Volunteers for the show are always appreciated. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Deb Campbell at deb@gmrhg.org and indicate the area you would like to help with. People are needed to demonstrate, help with pre-event rug registration, hang the rugs in the tent on Saturday morning and break down the space on Sunday afternoon. Besides having a great time, volunteers receive free admission to the festival. For more information on the Festival, visit https://vtsheepandwoolfest.com/
